Capacity

Capacity Overview

Many companies manage the Sales & Operations (S&OP) process using “S&OP Families”. An Item group in Arkieva is analogous to an S&OP family. Supply capacity is the maximum amount that can be produced for an Item Group. Capacity can be launched from navigation or by following the workflow. Like other modules, Capacity made up of noneditable grid on top and an editable grid on the bottom. The grid is defined by item group and users must set production capacity at this level. A user can set capacity at yearly, monthly or weekly levels.

Use Capacity to:

  1. Set production capacity by Item Group
  2. Compare the capacity of the Item Group vs. the Item Group Current Usage

Defining Item Group Capacity

To define the capacity of an Item Group:
  1. From the Capacity table, find the Item Group to edit
  2. Select the month
  3. Enter the capacity value

Stocks with utilization capacity in planning worksheet

Clicking Open in a new tab will redirect; while redirecting to the S&OP Planning worksheet, the application will auto-filter the selected item group.

Redirecting will filter only those stocks which have used capacity. This feature is disabled for groups that have not used any capacity.
