Use Data Studio to:
- Configure a data source to import data
- Edit Master Data and review Transactional Data
- Create custom attributes
- Add custom unit conversions
- Add currency exchange rates
Data Studio: Overview
Data Studio facilitates management for Master and Transactional data which are the basis of Supply Chain Planning datasets. It also facilitates auxiliary planning data such as custom aggregations, and alternate unit and financial conversions.
Replacing a data source will delete all existing data, including any custom configurations like custom units and custom aggregations.
To replace a data source:
- From the Data Studio Overview page, click the Replace Data Source button.
- Replace Data Source warning will popup, click Replace Data Source to continue, or Cancel to back out of replacing the data source.
- Select the Data Source type to configure.
Update Data (for Excel Data Source Configurations)
Manually update Master and Transactional data.
Update Data replaces all Sales History, Production, Transfer, and Procurement records that occur after the earliest date found in the file used to update data.
- From the Data Studio Overview page, select ‘Update Data’.
- Select the file to be imported.
- Select the Planning Period Start Date. The planning start date coincides with the beginning of the current planning cycle. All data prior to this date is considered as history.
- You can optionally type a number under the Frozen Days field. Frozen Days is a time horizon for which no changes are made in the supply chain.
- Select ‘Continue’ to begin the import.
Settings
The Settings pane allows you to change when the Planning Period begins and allows you to change the amount of non-editable days after the planning period start. Click Apply after making any changes. Clicking the Settings button will take you to the Planning Period options under the Data tab.
Return to the Data Studio Data Import page by clicking the Return to - Data Studio / Data Import button at the bottom of the page.
