Planning Objects

Manage the data objects available in S&OP from the Planning Objects section of the Settings module.




Add New Planning Objects

To add a new Planning Object for S&OP, first click the + Add New button. The Add Planning Object drawer will slide out.
Under the General section:
  1. Type the Name of the new planning object
  2. Type a Caption
  3. Select a Type from the dropdown (Planning or Calculated Quantity)
  4. Select a Unit from the dropdown (Quantity or Revenue)
Under the Format Settings section:
  1. Select a Display Format from the dropdown (Number, Percent, Accounting, Financial, or Currency)
  2. Type a value for how many Decimal places
  3. Check on or off Use 1000 Separator
  4. Select a Color
  5. Select a Chart Format (Line or Column)
Click Save when finished to complete creation of the new planning object.

  6. Component Consumption: Aggregates the total consumption needs over all components in the BOMs used for production when expanding the planning object in Planning Worksheet. Component Consumption only shows only shows in the Planning Worksheet when there are finished goods stock, and expanded will show the list of component stocks. When expanded shows the list of produced stocks. In Arkieva Classic RCCP document, this is 'Ingredient Consumption'.

  21. Expired Stock: Shows the amount of stock expired during a given bucket. Stock Start/End are adjusted accordingly. The Where Used engine has been updated to only meet demand from stock that is of an appropriate age. Min Age Remaining Days added to the sales order import sheet. If a value is provided and shelf life is being used, demand will only be met if it has at least the min age remaining days before expiring. Shelf Life is set by Item, in the "Shelf Life" field for item import or master data editing. If no shelf life is provided, the where used engine will behave as normal for any transactions for that item.
