Business Scenario + LP Workflow
Section 1: Setup LP Model in Arkieva Classic
LP Model & Data Group Configuration
First, launch Arkieva Classic.
- Create a new Optimization Model in Classic
- Save
- Click on Settings, enter the SaaS tenant ID and check ‘Enabled in SaaS’
- Contact Arkieva Support to establish a connection between the LP Model and the SaaS tenant
- Open Data Versions screen and add ‘BusinessScenario’ to Data Group
- Select the Optimization Model under Supported Document
NOTE: We are working to automate this update to Data Version. In the meantime, please check and manually update if needed.
- Download the scripts with step-by-step instructions on how to set up the LP Model.
- Contact Arkieva Support to get instructions and scripts.
The scripts will:
- Setup tables to receive and send data between SaaS and the LP in classic
- Create tables and views used to define the LP Scenario
- Create stored procedures to automate updates of these tables
Verify that the following stored procedures are present in the database:
Stored Procedure | Description |
MaterialFlowGetLPScenarioID | Extracts the materialflow scenario ID and name. |
PublishMaterialFlowInputPostProcess | Creates a new data version of BusinessScenario. |
MaterialFlowPrepareLPData | Gets input data from optimization_materialflow tables. Calls two sub-procedures (see below). |
MaterialFlowUpdateOrbit2SP | Sub-procedure called by MaterialFlowPrepareLPData. |
Orbit2SP_PreProcessBigTables | Sub-procedure called by MaterialFlowPrepareLPData. |
MaterialFlowPrepareResultTables | Populates the optimization_materialFlow.results tables after the LP solve. |
In addition, get the latest versions of the standard “PostLP” procedures. These are updated when you upgrade the Classic db.
- PostLPValidate
- PostLPResultsPublish
PostLPValidate
The latest version must include the following code in the Custom Validation section:
PostLPResultsPublish
Verify this procedure reflects the latest version from the reference database:
