Custom Aggregations

Custom Aggregations

Create custom attributes to further organize data inputs to be displayed in tables, tree hierarchies, and data filters.

Assign data for ingestion of custom aggregations

Custom Aggregations can be used for data ingestion from Excel, SQL, and Arkieva Enterprise.

To assign data for ingestion of custom aggregation, custom aggregate should be a table in the selected data source.
  1. For file ingestion, the spreadsheet should be named 'Data'.
To ingest an Excel spreadsheet, you can use just the file path for the spreadsheet.

To ingest a Comma Separated Values spreadsheet, the spreadsheet must only contain one page, the page must be named Data, and the file name must also be named Data. The .csv must then be placed inside a folder without any other files, then that file path can then me used in the Remote File Type field.

  1. For SQL and Enterprise the custom aggregate should be 'Custom [Unit Name]'. You will need to replace the [Unit Name] of the data source table with the user entered unit name on the screen. In SQL, the structure should be like the image below.

Composite Attributes

Composite attributes are used in systems where data needs to be represented at multiple levels of aggregation. In the context of Arkieva, the use of composite attributes can provide planners with a more flexible and detailed view of their data. The Arkieva application allows you to analyze data at multiple and different levels such as by item, location, or customer. This helps you perform more granular or broader analysis depending on your needs. Composite attributes enhance the ability to view and manage data from multiple perspectives, offering greater flexibility and insight for planning and decision-making.

Arkieva reads in the following data to create a corresponding table with these fields:
  1. Item Aggregate Attribute
  2. Item Aggregate Value
  3. Location Aggregate Attribute
  4. Location Aggregate Value
  5. Customer Aggregate Attribute
  6. Customer Aggregate Value
  7. Composite Attribute Value

  2. 'customer'
  3. 'item'
  4. 'item group'
  5. 'product hierarchy'
  6. 'location type'
  7. 'country'
  8. 'state'
  9. 'city'
  10. 'postal code'
