Violations
Making changes to the plan, will resolve violations as the plan comes into balance. The system will also recommend solutions to the violations.
Clicking on the Violations icon in the Tree will launch a left hand panel displaying all of the planning diagnostics or violations for a particular stock item in
location over the full planning horizon.
The violation screen shows different violations categorized by type.
S&OP Violations
S&OP violations are related to demand fulfillment and supply balancing with demand.
Supply Violations
Supply violations deal with a range of issues like late purchases, or if planned production is missing a component.
Inventory Violations
Inventory violations result in too much or too little inventory.
Demand Violations
Demand violations show sales orders that are not consistent with historical patterns. For example, if a customer has ordered more than usual, or place an order for the first time in a while, the system will flag it and display the order as a demand violation.
