Arkieva team members who will be interacting with Sales Opportunities are first given the role of Pricing Request or Pricing Request Approver in the Manage Teams section of Settings by an Administrator. Any user not given either of these roles will not have access to Sales Opportunities.
Access Sales Opportunities from the card on the Arkieva Home page.
Starting a new Sales Opportunity request
A user with the Sales Opportunity role will be responsible for starting Sales Opportunity requests.
Click the Start a new Request button from the Sales Opportunity page. The New Sales Opportunity Request drawer will slide out from the right.
Step 1: Product
The first Step is to fill out the Product information.
- Select a Customer from the dropdown.
- Next, select an Item from the dropdown.
- Next, select a Location from the dropdown.
- Select a Period.
Click Continue to go to the next page: Current Info.
Step 2: Current Info
Next, fill in the Current Item Information. Current Item Information is the Average Sales Price (revenue divided by the sales), and the Demand Plan.
Additionally the requester can add competitor price information for the product. Click the Add Competitor button, then type in the name of the competitor and the price per volume of the product.
Click Continue to move on to the third page of price authorization request.
Step 3: Request
The third step is to fill out the customer request information.
Click Create Request to return to the Price Negotiation page.
A popup notification will show the sales opportunity has been created successfully. From here the Sales Opportunity Approver will continue with the process.
Approving a Sales Opportunity Request
A user with the Sales Opportunity Approver role will be responsible for approving pending sales opportunity requests.
- Go to the pending request and click the View button to launch the Approve Sales Opportunity Request.
- Here the Approver can Approve the Sales Opportunity and click Save.
- The Sales Opportunity Approver can click the Offer Alternative Price/Volume tab and suggest a different Price and Volume.
- Or the Sales Opportunity Approver can click the Reject tab and reject the sales opportunity request.
