Orbit Documents Introduction

The four Arkieva documents that use the Orbit Database are DRP, RCCP, Production Schedule, and Tank Schedule. The highest level is the DRP and RCCP, the next level is Production Schedule, and the lowest level is Tank Schedule.

Tank Schedule requires a Production Schedule to work – DRP, Production Schedule, and RCCP do not need another document to be able to function correctly. DRP, Production Schedule, and RCCP are also somewhat interchangeable; meaning Production Schedule data can be opened with RCCP – it will not be configured correctly, but it is possible. This is helpful for debugging issues. For example, a client’s RCCP was not creating a production order at the end of the horizon. Launching the same data in a Production Schedule showed that the working patterns were not set properly.
