This article is part of the
Lifecycle Manager series, split from the original
Lifecycle Manager article.
Dynamic businesses continually modify their product offering by introducing new products and making other products obsolete. The lifecycle manager supports this business function by providing the capability to modify the forecast with product launch events, as well as end-of-life events. This module also supports promotions, which many businesses use to periodically influence demand.
Use Lifecycle Manager to:
- Create events to help manage your promotions.
- See how your marketing effort affects your promotion demand volume.
- Use demand from existing items to calculate demand volume for new items.
- Manage obsolete items and calculate demand volume for replacement items.
Create New Event
Create Launch, Promotion, and End of Life Events with the New Event dropdown menu. Select Launch from the New Event dropdown or right-click the name of the event type and select Add New. The New Launch drawer will slide out.
Assign LCM Event attribute to affected Demands
You can assign a new composite aggregation attribute for each Lifecycle Management event type to have a value of "yes" or "no" for each ilc.
